This year many smartphone maker companies are preparing to launch their 5G handsets. While companies are limited to launching 5G handsets, one company is also working on 6G. South Korea’s smartphone maker LG has announced that it is working on 6G network technology at the Research Center of Daejeon in Yuyeong district of Korea.

However, this does not mean that the LG company is working on a smartphone with 6G support. But working at 6G will take the company one step further in the market. LG has partnered with Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology for 6G. LG Electronics Chief Technology Officer Park II- Pyong said, “With the establishment of 6G Research Center, we will strengthen the research of Next Generation Mobile Communication Technology.”

Apart from this, the LG company is focusing on launching 5G smartphones. The company has announced that it will launch its 5G smartphone MWC in 2019. MWC will be held in 2019 in Barcelona.
