Huawei FreeBuds 4i arrives, with active noise cancellation and better battery

Technology

With the incorporation of Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), and with an improved battery capacity, the Huawei FreeBuds 4i headphones will soon arrive in Mexico, almost two months after its global presentation.

The FreeBuds 4i have the ability to detect ambient noise thanks to the built-in microphones and generate an inverse sound wave to reduce noise.

With the support of the noise cancellation algorithm, the headphones optimize the experience, whether users are in public transport, boarding a train, in the office or in a coffee shop.

To stay aware of the surroundings without removing the earbuds, users can touch the earpiece to have the FreeBuds 4i switch to Attention Mode and then return to Active Noise Cancellation Mode.

Huawei incorporated beamforming technology, a dual-microphone system that reduces wind noise, in addition to AI noise reduction, to filter out additional noise. Also, connectivity is via Bluetooth 5.2.

In terms of autonomy, they now have a battery with a greater energy efficiency of 55 mAh, to reach, with the active noise activation deactivated, up to 10 hours of continuous music playback or 6 and a half hours in calls.

However, if the ANC is activated, the hearing aids will offer 7 1/2 hours of music playback and up to 5 1/2 hours of voice calls.

On the other hand, now the charging case has an oval and compact shape, in which there is an internal battery of 215 mAh so that the headphones reach up to 22 hours of total music playback, or up to 14 hours in voice calls.

In addition, the case supports fast charging, so 10 minutes is enough to provide up to 4 hours of power.

In terms of technical audio specifications, the headphones feature 10mm dynamic drivers to offer greater amplitude and improved bass performance.

To personalize the experience, the hearing aids are compatible with Huawei’s AI Life mobile app, available on Android devices.

The Huawei FreeBuds 4i will be available in pre-sale for Mexico from March 29 to April 5 through the Huawei Shop, Huawei’s official online store, in white, black and red colors. This presale will have a regular price of 1,700 pesos and will include three months of the Huawei Music service, designed for users of Huawei mobile devices.

As of April 6, the headphones will be on sale with a promotion, since two Huawei FreeBuds 4i can be purchased for a price of 1,500 pesos each.
