Changes in the privacy terms and conditions of WhatsApp have caused some users to leave the app.
The new WhatsApp privacy policies and terms do not keep all users compliant.
One of them, Elon Musk, the richest man in the world and a inveterate Twitter user, recommended an alternative: Signal.
Use Signal

The messaging app has been on the market for several years, but lagged behind by WhatsApp and even Telegram. It was definitely not ready for a new wave of users.
Signal announced on its Twitter account on Thursday that the user verification code system had crashed for a couple of hours from all new users signing up.
Verification codes are currently delayed across several providers because so many new people are trying to join Signal right now (we can barely register our excitement). We are working with carriers to resolve this as quickly as possible. Hang in there.

The problems remain, with Signal acknowledging that the app is slow to display contacts. Given this, the app ensures that it is adding more capacity to welcome new users who flee from WhatsApp.
Some new users are reporting that Signal is slow to display their Signal contacts. We're adding more capacity to keep up with all the new people searching for their friends on Signal. Hang tight!
