Google recently launched a new Chrome browser extension that will help protect your online accounts from hackers. At the moment this browser is not inbuilt, so you have to install it.
Extension created to keep data safe
Whenever you sign in to a site, the password checkup extension is triggered; When you enter your information, it checks for more than 4 billion credentials in a database, which is considered to be a part of data breach or leak. If it matches any of your passwords, it will display a warning that will prompt you to change your password immediately.
Information will not leak: Google
This is exactly like the security researcher Troy Hunt, and I Have Point. Which checks your username and password so that it can be detected to be leaked or stolen or not.
Google says this extension will not leak your information. Along with this, it will also prevent your data from being hijacked. It wants to improve the way it works over time.
