According to the well-known corridors, Google is developing a new Chromecast. The second generation of the Google Chromecast Ultra will probably be released this year.
This new Chromecast is based on Android TV. This means that you can not only start media from another device but control entire apps. Super handy, of course. Also, the new Chromecast will likely come with a remote control.
Google was expected to show the second-generation Chromecast Ultra at the I / O conference in May, but unfortunately this conference is canceled due to the threat of the corona virus. People are probably now choosing to put the product in the spotlight in a different way; a live stream event is in line with expectations.
