Tom Morris has been named CEO of Eastside Rehabilitation Hospital in Loganville, Ga., ahead of the facility’s planned opening in June.
The hospital is a 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation facility under construction and is a joint venture between Birmingham, Ala.-based Encompass Health and Atlanta-based Piedmont, according to a March 11 joint news release.
Mr. Morris brings more than 25 years of healthcare leadership experience. He most recently served as senior vice president of hospital operations at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
Piedmont Eastside Medical Center’s inpatient rehabilitation unit in Snellville, Ga., will relocate to the new hospital when it opens. Eastside Rehabilitation Hospital will be Encompass Health’s ninth hospital in Georgia and the eighth joint venture hospital with Piedmont.
