Rupert, Idaho-based Minidoka Memorial Hospital had to transfer some emergency patients after an Easter morning cyber incident disrupted its imaging services.
The hospital said April 17 that care wasn’t otherwise interrupted by the April 5 event that affected certain IT systems and forced the organization into downtime protocols. Minidoka Memorial stated that imaging services were restored April 19.
“We are working closely with cybersecurity experts and appropriate authorities to investigate and resolve the issue,” the hospital stated. “Patients with upcoming appointments or procedures should plan to proceed as scheduled unless otherwise contacted.”
Burley, Idaho-based Intermountain Health Cassia Regional Hospital helped patients with imaging needs, while the Information Technology Disaster Resource Center provided hot spots to keep operations running.
