Children’s Hospital Los Angeles has expanded its cell and gene therapy program to include 12 FDA-approved therapies.
The program now offers more cell and gene therapies than any pediatric center on the West Coast, according to a March 5 news release from the hospital.
The therapies treat neuromuscular disorders, blood disorders, cancer, inherited retinal disease, dermatologic and transplantation-associated conditions.
The hospital plans to launch a clinical trial to study a sickle cell gene therapy product, as well as a CAR T-cell therapy developed by investigators at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles for pediatric solid tumors, the release said.
