Hershey, Pa.-based Penn State Health has named Kasia Konieczny vice president and chief of staff to CEO Michael Kupferman, MD.
She will begin the role March 23, according to a March 12 health system news release. The appointment comes less than a year after Dr. Kupferman became CEO in June.
In the position, Ms. Konieczny will serve as a strategic partner to Dr. Kupferman, helping coordinate systemwide initiatives, improve decision flow and alignment, and support Penn State Health’s institutional priorities.
Ms. Konieczny joins the organization after more than 15 years with Providence St. Joseph Health, part of Renton, Wash.-based Providence, where she led multi-billion dollar operational and growth initiatives. She most recently served as vice president of business implementation and governance at Providence, according to her LinkedIn profile.
Her work included launching enterprise-level remote patient monitoring and teletherapy programs and expanding specialty care access across multiple regions. She also led organizational initiatives aimed at stabilizing operations, improving workforce experience and strengthening partnerships with physicians and clinical leaders.
