Lewes, Del.-based Beebe Healthcare has adopted a new governance structure and leadership model aimed at strengthening systemwide alignment and oversight.
Here are three things to know, according to a March 27 news release from the health system:
1. Beebe Medical Center, Beebe Medical Foundation and Beebe Medical Group currently operate with separate boards and bylaws. Under the new structure, a newly formed Beebe Healthcare enterprise board will serve as the overarching governing body for the three entities.
2. Sara Larch was elected chair of the Beebe Medical Center board of directors, and Cindy Szabo was elected to the board to fill a vacancy. Ms. Larch is the second woman to serve as board chair in Beebe’s history and will also chair the enterprise board.
3. Other members and officers of the enterprise board are:
- Christopher Weeks, vice chair
- David Tam, MD, secretary
- Jack Berberian, treasurer
- Pamela Baker
- Ronald Blanck, DO
- Paul Cowan, DO
- Christian Hudson
- Michael Meoli
- Liane Sorenson
- Christopher Vanuga
