Atrium Health RCM vice president retires

Chris Johnson, vice president of revenue cycle management at N.C.-based Atrium Health retired Jan. 3 after more than 46 years in the field, according to a post on his LinkedIn page. 

Mr. Johnson served as Atrium’s vice president of revenue cycle management regional since April 2007. In that role, he oversaw the unified business office and revenue cycle operations for facilities managed by, but not owned by, Atrium.

He previously served as vice president of patient access for Atrium. 

“What an unbelievable journey these years have been,” he said in the post. “This career, that I stumbled into, has provided opportunities I could never have anticipated and allowed me to meet so many individuals I now consider friends. I will be eternally grateful for these experiences and feel extremely privileged to have been able to work in a field I am passionate about, and one that has provided a true sense of accomplishment at the end of the day.”
