AdventHealth hospital taps chief medical officer

Press Release

AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach (Fla.) has appointed Jose Rosado, MD, as chief medical officer, effective Jan. 19.

Dr. Rosado has 20 years of experience in family and emergency medicine. He first joined the hospital’s medical staff in 2009 and has served as chief of staff on its medical executive committee for the past year.

In his new role, Dr. Rosado will support nearly 950 medical staff members and guide quality and safety initiatives across the 109-bed hospital.

“Serving as both chief of staff and an emergency medicine physician has given me a firsthand understanding of what our teams experience every day and what our patients need most,” Dr. Rosado said in a Jan. 12 news release. “As chief medical officer, my focus will be on supporting our physicians, strengthening safety and quality, and ensuring that every patient feels well cared for.”

He succeeds David Goldman, DO, who was named CMO of AdventHealth Altamonte Springs (Fla.) in November 2025.
