Vanderbilt Health taps 1st president for newly acquired hospital

Randy Davis has been appointed president of Vanderbilt Clarksville (Tenn.) Hospital.

Mr. Davis joined the newly acquired hospital as its first president, according to a Feb. 2 news release from Nashville, Tenn.-based Vanderbilt Health. The 270-bed facility is the newest member of the system’s regional hospital network in Tennessee.

Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems completed the sale of its 80% ownership interest in Tennova Healthcare-Clarksville Hospital and a freestanding emergency room Feb. 2 for $623 million, before certain transaction expenses.

Before joining Vanderbilt Health, Mr. Davis served as president and chief administrative officer of Cumberland Medical Center-Covenant Health in Crossville, Tenn.

In his new role, Mr. Davis will oversee operating performance at Vanderbilt Clarksville Hospital and work with medical staff and the local healthcare community as the hospital integrates into Vanderbilt Health’s regional network.
