Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare Chair and CEO Saum Sutaria, MD, received more than $43 million in total compensation in 2025, up from nearly $25 million in 2024, according to a proxy statement filed April 16 with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Dr. Sutaria’s compensation package included more than $31.7 million in stock awards and $9 million in non-equity incentive plan compensation, with no cash bonus, reflecting the company’s emphasis on equity-based pay tied to long-term performance.

Tenet reported $21.3 billion in revenue in 2025, up from $20.7 billion the prior year, as the for-profit health system’s ongoing pivot toward ambulatory and specialty care continued to generate strong returns.

Full-year adjusted EBITDA was $4.6 billion in 2025, up from $4 billion in 2024, and free cash flow of $2.53 billion, more than double the $1.1 billion posted the prior year. Net income was $1.4 billion, down from $3.2 billion in 2024, which included a $2.1 billion after-tax gain tied primarily to hospital divestitures. Tenet sold 14 hospitals in 2024

Also among the system’s top earners is Sun Park, executive vice president and CFO, whose total compensation rose to $7.4 million in 2025 from $4.7 million the prior year, driven by a $2 million cash bonus.
