Montage Health’s 2nd CEO dies

Jay Hudson, Monterey, Calif.-based Montage Health’s second CEO, has died, according to a March 23 LinkedIn post from the health system.

Mr. Hudson joined the system, which was then known as Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula, as an assistant administrator in 1968 and became CEO in 1990. He retired in 1999, but remained involved in the hospital and volunteered in the community.

Mr. Hudson was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2012 and eventually lymphatic cancer, according to his obituary

“He was a passionate leader, a dedicated public servant and a constant presence for the people and causes he cared about. His impact continues to be felt across our organization and community,” the post said.
