Danville, Pa.-based Geisinger has opened a retail pharmacy at its Buckhorn, Pa., clinic to make it easier for patients to fill prescriptions and pick up over-the-counter medications before leaving their appointments.
The pharmacy is within the multispecialty clinic, according to a March 30 system news release. The site will also provide remote Meds to Beds services to Geisinger Bloomsburg (Pa.) Hospital and Geisinger Behavioral Health Center (Pa.) Danville. The program delivers medications to patients before discharge and will be implemented at a later date.
Geisinger Pharmacy offers prescription discounts and price matching on medications found at larger retail stores without membership fees.
