Cleveland Clinic has received a $50 million grant from the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Supporting Foundation to launch its Community Bridge to Care Initiative.
Three things to know:
1. The initiative is designed to improve access to care for Cleveland residents and expand emergency and trauma services through a combination of digital tools, system redesign and facility upgrades, according to a March 31 health system news release.
2. Planned components include an artificial intelligence-powered “Digital Front Door” to guide patients to appropriate care settings before they arrive, using real-time data to shorten delays and lower emergency department congestion.
3. The initiative also includes a redesigned immediate care experience with clearer signage and flow to improve care coordination and a Level I trauma center at the system’s main campus with 24/7 trauma surgery, advanced imaging and critical care.
Cleveland Clinic is a nonprofit academic medical center with 23 hospitals and 300 outpatient facilities across multiple countries.
