Arkansas hospital taps chief nurse

Heather Hornbuckle, RN, has been named chief nursing officer of Hope-based Southwest Arkansas Regional Medical Center. 

Ms. Hornbuckle will lead nursing operations and at the 25-bed critical access hospital, according to a news release shared with local news outlets March 10. She will also oversee efforts to advance quality and safety.

She has spent more than two decades in nursing leadership and bedside care. 

Southwest Arkansas Regional Medical Center was previously owned by Dallas-based Steward Health Care. The hospital was acquired by Hope-based Pafford Health Systems in September 2024 after Steward filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy earlier that year.
